General information only

All content and tool output on this site is provided for general informational purposes. It does not constitute professional advice of any kind and must not be treated as a substitute for consulting a qualified professional about your particular circumstances.

We take reasonable care to implement each tool correctly and to keep the written material accurate, but we make no representation or warranty that results are accurate, complete, current or fit for any purpose. Verify anything consequential through an independent source before acting on it.

Financial calculators are not financial advice

The SIP, lumpsum, EMI, compound interest, retirement and inflation calculators apply standard published formulas to the figures you enter. They are planning aids and nothing more.

  • They assume a constant rate of return. Real markets do not deliver a fixed annual percentage; the same average return arriving in a different order produces a materially different outcome.
  • They ignore taxes, fees and charges unless a field explicitly asks for them. Capital gains tax, expense ratios, exit loads, processing fees and prepayment penalties all change the real result.
  • They cannot predict the future. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future returns, and investments can lose value.
  • Loan figures are estimates. Your lender's actual schedule may differ because of rounding conventions, day-count basis, insurance requirements or fees added to the principal.

Nothing on this site is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security, to take out any loan, or to adopt any financial strategy. We are not licensed financial advisers, brokers or planners. Before making a financial decision, consult a qualified adviser who is regulated in your jurisdiction and who knows your full circumstances.

Health calculators are not medical advice

The BMI calculator applies a formula published in the 1830s as a population statistic. It takes no account of muscle mass, bone density, body composition, age, sex, ethnicity or pregnancy, and it routinely misclassifies athletes and older adults. It is a rough screening indicator, not a diagnosis.

Do not use any result on this site to diagnose a condition, to start or stop a treatment, or to delay seeking medical attention. Speak to a doctor or qualified healthcare provider about your health.

Security and diagnostic tools

The password strength checker estimates resistance to guessing using a model of attacker behaviour. A high score is not a guarantee of safety, and a password that has appeared in a breach is compromised regardless of how strong it looks.

The hash generator implements MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256 and SHA-512. MD5 and SHA-1 are cryptographically broken and must not be used where an adversary could influence the input. None of these functions is suitable for storing passwords.

The network and port tools are for diagnosing systems you own or are authorised to test. Using them against systems without permission may be unlawful in your jurisdiction, and doing so is a breach of our terms of use.

Third-party data and links

Some tools display data from external services — IP geolocation, DNS records, currency exchange rates. That data is provided by third parties, may be out of date or inaccurate, and we do not control or verify it. Exchange rates in particular are indicative and are not the rate you will be offered for an actual transaction.

The site contains advertising and may link to external websites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, products or practices of any third-party site, and inclusion of a link or an advertisement is not an endorsement.

AI-assisted tools

The AI tools pass your text to a third-party language model using your own API key. Language models produce plausible text and can be confidently wrong: they invent facts, misread nuance and introduce errors into code. Review every output before using it, and never rely on an AI summary of a document that matters without reading the original.

Usage of your API key is billed by that provider, not by us, and the provider's terms and privacy policy govern what it does with the text you submit.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from use of this website or reliance on its content or output, including financial loss, loss of data, or any indirect or consequential loss. Your use of the site is at your own risk. This does not affect any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Frequently asked questions

The arithmetic is accurate for the inputs and assumptions given, and each page shows the formula used. Whether the result reflects reality depends entirely on whether the assumptions hold — a constant return rate, no taxes and no fees, which is never quite true.

Only as a rough population-level indicator. It cannot distinguish muscle from fat and misclassifies many healthy people. Discuss your health with a doctor rather than with a formula.

Because the site publishes tools in areas — money, health, security — where a wrong assumption has real consequences. Being explicit about what the tools do and do not model is more useful than a vague promise of accuracy.
