1. Who we are
OmniTool ("we", "us") operates the website at omnitools.website. For any question about this policy or about your data, contact contact@omnitools.website.
This policy applies to the website and every tool on it. It does not apply to third-party websites you reach by following a link or an advertisement from here; those sites publish their own policies.
2. What you enter into the tools
Every utility on OmniTool runs as JavaScript inside your own browser. When you paste JSON into the formatter, choose an image to convert, enter loan figures into the EMI calculator or type a password into the strength checker, that content is processed on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. We operate no endpoint capable of receiving it, keep no logs of it and hold no database of submissions.
The practical consequences are worth spelling out: we cannot see your input, we cannot recover it for you if you lose it, and we cannot disclose it to anyone else, including in response to a legal demand, because we never had it.
Some tools store small amounts of information in your browser's localStorage — your light or dark theme preference, and, for the AI tools, the API key and provider you configured. This stays on your device, is readable only by this site in this browser, and is cleared when you clear site data.
3. Tools that do make network requests
A small number of tools cannot work without contacting an outside service. Each is listed here so there are no surprises.
- IP & Geolocation — queries a public IP information service, which necessarily sees your IP address. That is the point of the tool.
- DNS / WHOIS lookup — sends the domain name you type to a public DNS-over-HTTPS resolver.
- HTTP Headers — makes a request to an echo service to show what your browser sends.
- Currency Converter — fetches published exchange rates from a public rates API.
- AI tools — send the text you submit, together with your API key, directly from your browser to the provider you selected (OpenAI, Anthropic or Google). We are not in the path and never receive either. That provider's own privacy policy governs what it does with the request.
These requests go from your browser to the third party directly. We do not proxy them and do not receive a copy.
5. Google AdSense and third-party advertising
OmniTool is funded by advertising served through Google AdSense. The following disclosures are required by Google and are accurate for this site.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- Users may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- Users may opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices or, in Europe, at youronlinechoices.com.
- Google's own handling of data is described in the Google Privacy & Terms page for partner sites.
Third-party ad networks may also use web beacons or similar technologies within the advertisements they serve. We have no access to and no control over those cookies, and the advertisement code cannot read the contents of the tool panels on this page.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent message before personalised advertising cookies are set, in line with Google's EU user consent policy. You can change your choice at any time through the privacy controls in your browser or through the links above.
6. Analytics and server logs
We use aggregate analytics to understand which tools are used and where visitors arrive from. This records page views, referring pages, approximate country, browser and device type. It is used in aggregate to decide what to build and what to fix; it is not used to build a profile of an individual, and it is never combined with anything you type into a tool.
Our hosting provider keeps standard access logs — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent — for security, abuse prevention and diagnostics. These are retained for a limited period and then deleted.
7. Children
OmniTool is a general-audience site aimed at developers, students and professionals. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information — realistically, only possible by emailing us — contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent.
Because the tools store nothing on our side, an access or deletion request will usually find that there is nothing to return or erase beyond any email correspondence you have had with us. Where data does exist — advertising identifiers held by Google, for instance — the controls linked in section 5 are the direct route, and we will help if you need it.
Requests go to contact@omnitools.website. We respond within one month, as required by GDPR, and within 45 days for requests under the CCPA. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising other than through the advertising partner described above, which you can opt out of.
9. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Because we do not collect or store the content you work with, there is no database of user submissions that could be breached — the design removes the risk rather than mitigating it. Data you keep in your browser's local storage is protected by your own device and browser security.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the site or to legal requirements. The revision date at the top of the page always shows when it last changed. Material changes will be highlighted on the site. Continuing to use OmniTool after a change means you accept the revised policy.
